Permoxin is indicated as an aid in the control of pyrethroid-sensitive insects, including biting flies and ticks on dogs, horses and cattle. Permoxin is useful for the diagnosis and treatment of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) in dogs and Queensland Itch (Culicoides sensitivity) on horses.
The unique formulation allows permethrin, a potent contact insecticide, to bind to the hair conferring a persistent insecticidal and repellent action.
Not for use on cats.

•Binds to the Hair Coat: Permoxin utilises advanced technology which allows it to bind to clean hair and skin for long acting effectiveness. Peak activity is maintained by regular weekly top up rinses to produce saturation of the hair coat.
•Resists Inactivation by Light: This ensures a longer duration of action than the natural pyrethrins which decompose rapidly on exposure to air and light.
•Well Tolerated: Safe for use on pregnant and lactating animals
Permoxin contains Permethrin 40g/L in aqueous solution with solvents and stabilisers. For dilution with methylated spirits to give a rapid-dry spray or with water to give a rinse.
Dosage and administration
Spray: Dilute before use from the self-measure container at 10mL in 400mL water for application from a trigger spray pack. For a quick-drying spray dilute 10mL to 400mL methylated spirits. Ruffle or lift coat while spraying, and spray from the rear of the animal, ie. against the fall of hair. Check that adequate penetration and coverage is occurring before spray dries. Spray the entire animal, avoiding the eyes and mouth. Re-apply as often as required. Suitable for daily use.
Rinse: Dilute at the rate of 1: 40 with water. If using a shampoo, rinse off fully in clean water and then allow excess to drain off the coat. Sponge onto wet/dry coat, keeping solution away from eyes and mouth. Allow to dry on the coat. Re-apply as often as necessary. Suitable for daily use. Treatment may be repeated weekly, several times weekly or daily, according to rate of re-infestation.
Store below 30°C (room temperature). Store in original container, tightly closed, in a safe place.
